Coach Development

One of the organisational objectives for Tag Sports is to help grow the game of Tag across the board, and develop a pathway across age-groups and abilities. Within this area, investing time and resources into developing existing and emerging coaches in the UK is a high priority.

We are partnering with our colleagues at Try Tag Rugby and Great Britain Tag Rugby to facilitate learning, create opportunities and share resources to best enable our coaches to develop their knowledge of the sport and their ability to coach it.

Tag Sports Coaching Community

When we started delivering our programmes in 2023 we found there was a group of people who are passionate about the sport and helping others, but who had very little in the way of support and guidance when it came to coaching. Tag Sports wants to build on the knowledge and passion of the Tag community and create a formal and structured coaching forum where you will have the opportunity to share knowledge, ask questions and feel supported as we all grow together.

Coach Development Opportunities

This year Tag Sports will be holding coach development sessions both in person and online. These sessions will be held in a judgement free and open environment, with collaboration and interaction the foundations of a peer-learning approach. The first of these sessions, titled 'Foundations of Coaching' is coming up in February. Please see below for dates.

‘At Tag Sports, we believe in a holistic, person-centered approach to coaching, where we create environments that allow participants to explore their capabilities whilst respecting their individuality.’
